Chapter 18 Teaser

For as long as I'd been at Cullen, Inc., my behavior had never caused someone to storm out of a boardroom. But now I'd caused someone to flee a ballroom, which was infinitely worse.

Bella was right. My behavior after bumping into Carlisle had been boorish at best. Whatever I was feeling as a result of his reprimand...well, I shouldn't have taken that out on her. None of this was her fault – it was mine for being so sure Carlisle wouldn't remember her and if he did, that he would immediately accept my explanation. She deserved better and as soon as she came back to the table from wherever she'd gone, I would do whatever it took to make sure she knew that – whether Carlisle was in the same room with us or not.

Except she seemed to be taking a long time.

  1. He didn't realize she left? Smart guy can be so dense sometimes! Really hoping him showing up at her apartment wasn't a dream... and that she forgives him (after letting him sweat it out a bit?)... Looking forward to the update! :)

  3. Argh! For such a "smart" man, he can be so clueless!

If he is indeed destined to take over this company, he has to take command of the situation with Carlisle and "put him in his place"....

    Cannot wait till next update!

  4. Aaargh! So clueless!! How could he not realize she LEFT?

Does Edward have Asperger's Syndrome? (That's sort of a joke...but he does act like it sometimes!)

  5. Yes, he needs to let Carlisle know that he'll be doing things his own way and it won't mess anything up. If Carlisle trusts his judgement to run the company, he should TRUST his judgement.

  6. what he needs to do is get his head out of his ass and stand up to Carlisle ! OR maybe Bella needs to go work for Esme and then Edward will realize what was right infront of him all along! UGH!~
